Shirley Nelson Scholarship

This scholarship fund was established in 1997 by Shirley Nelson. It was established to offer assistance to a graduating senior who shows steady, constant improvement over the course of his/her high school career.  An application is available through the high school guidance office.

Criteria:

• Be a senior from one of the following (award rotates between the following schools): William Horlick, J.I. Case, Walden III, Washington Park

• Have a C or higher average

• Show steady, consistent improvement over the course of his/her high school career

• Show Involvement in extra-curricular activities such as: community activities, work experience and sports

• Pursue an undergraduate education at an accredited college or university, or a degree at an accredited technical college or institute
